They say that it’s only I dreaming that we could do it freely. Yes, there’s no harm in dreaming for this will pane anyone to a better tomorrow. In dreaming, a person can design what kind of future awaits him. Dreaming pushes someone to work hard, persevere, and be patient and dedicated of all the things likes to accomplish in life. Sometimes it’s just like a joke, that most of the successful men during their childhood; they kept on dreaming, but who they are today we the fruits of their dreams. Dreaming is like planning your future. What you dream today, tells your future.  So keep on dreaming and at the same time, you have to work for it. For success is sweeter if it comes from your sweat. Thou hard labor.

Dreaming’s coiled with faith in God, hard-work and dedication opens the gate of a bright future.

          With this ever changing world we are living in, people keep on wanting for change, especially so, if the things at present are quite not satisfying. People in all walks of life never in a state of contentment and fulfilled. They keep on searching for the best, but what they do not know is that change should come first within them. Everybody is a part of that change. Not a single man even the wisest or richest can change the world alone, but it should be a common goal of every individual to be a part for that change and they are willing to start within them. Which should refrain from blaming one person to another, whenever there are unpleasant things that are happenings around us, instead we should ask ourselves, what have I done? Did I contribute for its success or for its failure? Change is very hard to happen, until it begins within us.

Ilocanos have many celebrations which they are doing these celebrations remind them the spirit of unity and cooperation. One of this is the KANNAWIDAN FESTIVAL. Kannawidan is an Ilocano term which means “a fest of all heritages, practices and products” in Ilocos Sur.

A KANNAWIDAN festival strengthens the culture and traditions of Ilocanos. It reminds the new generation of Ilocanos about this culture and tradition so that they may learn to appreciate it by doing them and proud to share other people with different culture and traditions. This KANNAWIDAN festival creates a more significant and harmonious relationship of the Ilocanos. And it promotes the industry of every town in Ilocos Sur.

         

So, we should continue patronizing the KANNAWIDAN festival by involving ourselves and promoting this whenever we go and whatever we do.
